Finding Strength in Struggle

Poem: Vardan Mangunga Nahi by Shivmanal Singh 'Suman'

In the never-ending battlefield of life, we should be proud of ourselves and our situation, refraining from seeking favors from others. The journey called 'Life' is a war where victory or defeat hang in the balance. In this war, one can either lose or win. Even if we have to face defeat in life, panic serves no purpose because these defeats in life are transient provided we are persistent in our personal growth.

Embrace the sorrows and struggles that come in the great battle of life, face them with the resolution of self-confidence. Remember, struggles are meant to shape you, if the cosmos gives adversities in life it has faith on you that you'll manage to get out of that menace and rise stronger.

Life is a game of happiness and sorrow. Happiness comes into a man's life for a moment and then the man gets lost in the pleasant memories of that happiness. Those pleasant memories make a man happy for a moment that sway towards fulfilling his personal aspirations and often forgetting his 'true purpose'.

My friends, life is a game of win and loss. People should maintain their composure in every situation in life, which cultivates fearlessness toward the outcomes. We should remain equanimous in happiness and sorrow & keep moving forward considering whatever we get in the path of struggle as our own.

In reality, everyone is small. There's always a bigger fish in the ocean implying no matter how impressive or powerful someone or something may be, there is always someone or something greater than us. Take this as a caution against becoming too arrogant or complacent with small achievements and be reminded to stay humble and aware of the surroundings. With humility, accept this fact and keep working on your goals.

Instead of wasting the pain caused by problems, strive to rise and transform the sorrows into a constructive energy that transforms & empowers you to confront any sort of challenges life may present with determination.

Remain steadfast on the path of your duty, take risks, face the coming troubles, sorrows and adverse circumstances without any support because in reality there is no one in the world to give you those helping hands,

Remember, you are the lone ranger of your life.

The Call: A Reunion to Remember

The Plan It was the 2nd of August, 2024, a Friday, and as usual, Noida was bustling with traffic, giving off the typical weekend rush vibe. My sister and I had just come to a cafĂ© for some snacks, breaking the monotony of our usual dal chawal lunches. I was in a hurry, eager to meet my college roommate, Joseph, who had returned to India after a long time. I was also expecting another old roommate, Sheetal. Back in college, we had shared a room and spent countless nights, gossiping, and having fun, never worrying much about our careers. Little did we know then that life would keep us apart for the next eight years. I was telling my sister how these clever guys had suddenly made plans while I was in the middle of my fourth-semester MBA exams at college in Kerala. I, too, was thrilled to see my long-lost friends, and we had even planned a trip to Himachal. There had been a lot of news about landslides in Himachal at the time. Sheetal didn’t seem to care much, but Joseph was hesitant, esp...

The Art of Detachment

In the journey of manifesting our desires – whether it be wealth, relationships, career accomplishments, or personal goals – there exists a paradoxical wisdom that often many people do not understand: the concept of detachment. Rooted in spiritual teachings and psychological theories, detachment encourages us to let go of our grip on the outcomes we desire and instead embrace life’s evolution with a sense of ease and trust. Understanding Detachment Detachment, as advocated by various spiritual traditions and also discussed in the context of modern concepts like the Law of Attraction, is fundamentally about letting go of our tight grip on our desires and expectations. It’s about understanding that true fulfillment and happiness do not depend solely on the achievement of specific outcomes. When we attach ourselves too much to how things “should be,” we inadvertently create emotional blocks and resistance that can impede our progress. In the Indian context, where spiritual philosophies su...
